Community BBQ with Aunt Becks Place
Join Omicron Delta Kappa, Aunt Becks Place, and Vanessa's Heart as we host a community BBQ at St. Vincent de Paul. We are doing more than serve food- we are showing our city that we see them and they matter. We will need help with setting up, serving, and clean up. Please register if you are able to assist. It's okay if you can only come for part of the event. Please wear your respective student organization's t-shirt or swag to highlight our campus' diverse student organizations. We need about 10 people. If you would like to donate food, this is the menu: hamburgers, hot dogs (no pork), veggie burger, buns, condiments (no ketchup), baked beans (no pork), soda, water, snacks (pudding (no gelatin), chips, freeze pops (FROZEN), snack cakes, etc.). We will also like to distribute toiletry items; we are also accepting donations of the following: toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, floss, all sizes of: socks (new), t-shirts (clean), underwear (new), pants (clean). Movie Screening: Dead Poets Society
Join the CWC for a free screening of Dead Poets Society starring Robin Williams, Ethan Hawke, and Neil Perry! Dead Poets Society is about the story of John Keating, a new English professor at a strict boys only school. Subjects to strict expectations and forced through paths they have no interest in, Mr. Keating provides them a new outlet by introducing to them the beauty of creative writing. This critically acclaimed movie explores topics such as individualism and freedom of expression; and how their suppression can lead to devastating results. Refreshments will be provided!
