About Us

It is the goal of the Election Commission to provide the University of Baltimore student body with functional, fair elections and selection processes for student governance and organizations. The Election Commission is responsible for facilitating the general elections for student governance organizations and other premier organizations at the University of Baltimore. The Election Commission is also responsible for facilitating the selection (application and appointment) processes of Student Events Board. This organization also assists other student organizations with their election and selection proceedings upon request. This includes establishing and enforcing all policies and procedures, ensuring candidates meet the qualifications (in partnership with the Center for Student Involvement), establishing and maintaining the voting mechanism and election timelines, overseeing the election and campaign process, listening to and ruling on all grievances, facilitating application review and interview processes for organizations during a selection process, and validating all election results.
