From running the Mock Trial Team to igniting real change, Resilient leadership you can trust! Your voice, my passion, brings forth our resilience!
Michael Ethridge
"Ask not what your school can do for you; ask what you can do for your school” by turning college back into a real conversation. As an 8-year combat veteran with various awards and a 4.0 GPA, I entered this race because my letter about the fuel crisis was met with silence, proving we need a leadership structure that listens or looks ahead. I have the humility to talk about my failures so we can lead from the front and fix them together, making sure real change starts with us, and new inspiration is found in everyone. I will help our professors use tools like AI to make them even better, so technology builds our in-person community rather than replacing the human element. Focused entirely on our tomorrow, please email Michael.Ethridge@ubalt.edu to join this effort, see my references, or share your thoughts so all voices are heard.
Christopher Fornchor
My vision for the Student Government Association is rooted in a simple truth: our similarities are greater than our differences, and when we work together, those shared values can help us better understand and respect where we diverge. I believe SGA should be a space where every student feels heard, represented, and connected, regardless of background or perspective. If elected, I will focus on building stronger bridges between students and administration while fostering open dialogue that turns differences into opportunities for growth. Through collaboration, transparency, and intentional engagement, I hope to create a more unified campus community that works together to solve real challenges and elevate every student’s experience.
Aneme Ikpe
My vision for SGA is to build a more informed, transparent, and collaborative student government that truly serves the needs of the student body. If elected, I will prioritize clear and consistent communication by expanding our presence on social media and sharing timely updates about decisions, opportunities, and resources. I will also work to create more open forums and accessible spaces where students can voice their concerns and stay engaged with campus initiatives. My goal is to ensure students not only understand SGA policies and actions but also feel empowered to participate and see the impact of their voices on our campus.
Shanarra Owens
My plans for the SGA focus on three key areas. First, I aim to increase student engagement by creating more opportunities for involvement in school activities. Additionally, I intend to promote clubs and organizations to raise awareness and encourage participation, while supporting the development of future leaders within our community.
Hammna Asif
Being an immigrant myself, I know what it takes to learn to speak up in a foreign space which is precisely why I am campaigning for the position of Vice President. I want to be able to ensure that everyone on this campus finds their voice and has the opportunity to use it. In my vision of SGA, there lies inclusion, equity, and empowerment of all my fellow students and peers. I hope to build a better environment that reflects all of us, where our differences are our strength and every student has the chance to thrive and to be heard.
Katlyn Mitchell
I promise to keep SGA accountable, organized, and ensure the words of the SGA leaders are always available to the student body. I hope to represent the voices of the student body through written and verbal action so that their issues and opinions may be heard. I will ensure that the student voice is represented in all official meetings and acknowledged as equal to the University.
VACANT
Isabelle Gold
I will ensure the SGA truly represents the students. I will follow and enforce all codes and conducts to ensure the SGA body runs smoothly and effectively. My time in Mock Trial has prepared me well to ask questions and have conversations.
Sandhya Bhandari
I vision is to make students feel heard, empowered, and comfortable enough to bring real student concerns to the table. If selected, I will help those concerns turn into changes that actually improve the experience on campus.
Dylan Galloway
My vision for the SGA at the University of Baltimore is to create a more transparent, responsive, and student-centered organization that actively reflects the needs and voices of the student body. I believe SGA should serve as a strong bridge between students and university leadership, ensuring that concerns are heard and turned into meaningful action. Drawing on my experience in local government and management, I will work to strengthen accountability, improve communication, and promote practical solutions that enhance student life. I hope to help build an SGA that not only represents students but truly works for them every day.
Shekera Graves
My vision for SGA is to create a community where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered especially those who continue to push forward despite obstacles in personal life that may make school life hard. If elected, I will advocate for accessible resources, stronger student support systems, and a platform where all voices are heard, not just the loudest. I am committed to representing students with authenticity, accountability, and determination. My goal is to help build an SGA that not only listens, but actively works to remove barriers so every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Paul Karanja
I would like to run for the undergraduate senator position. While in this role I will strive to participate in constructive conversations in order to put in place policies to improve student life. Additionally, I will continue to expand my network in order to get a more thorough understanding of the wants of the greater student body.
Joshua Massey
My name is Joshua Massey, and I am running for SGA's Senator position. I believe UB has the potential to be more than just a commuter- based business-focused institution. If elected, my goal is to help build/rejuvenate a strong sense of community, and broaden engagement opportunities between students, the Baltimore Community, and faculty. I am particularly passionate about elevating student voices and creating inclusive events and initiatives that reflect identities of UB. I am committed to working with fellow SGA members, student orgs, and university offices to make UB a more connected and engaged community.
Mohamed Sako
As a former senator, I want to step up again to advocate for the student body for whatever they need.
