2021 DataUp Cohort

 

The Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators AllianceApplied Information Technology and Information Systems and Decision Science departments at the University of Baltimore is hosting a free series of “Data Carpentry” workshops for any interested UBalt students, alumni, faculty and staff. If space is available, these workshops will be open to other community members.  

  • What: Data Carpentry Workshops 
    (Online/Virtual via Zoom) 

  • When: 6 Sessions
    Tuesday – Thursday,
    January 11-13 and Jan 18-20, 2022 

  • Time: 5:00 – 8:30PM each session (20 hours) 

  • Who: Anyone interested in learning about data science techniques for social good 

  • Prerequisites: Learners may have little to no prior computational experience.

    2022 Real Estate Challenge

If you have taken and truly enjoyed the class REED 312 and/or participated in the UrbanPlan presentation, this is right up your alley!!!

The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation's 12th Annual Real Estate Challenge will begin on February 7th and presentations will be held on April 22nd. To participate in the Real Estate Challenge Link  for the registration form:

Important details about challenge:

  • Team consists of 4-6 students
  • The team leader needs to complete the registration
  • Each University can have up to (2) teams; one undergraduate division and one graduate division
  • Graduate students are not allowed on undergraduate division teams; if a team has a graduate student, the team will be considered a graduate division team.
