Join the Office of Diversity and International Services as we return to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American Heritage and Culture for a day of remembrance, discovery, and cultural awareness. Spaces are limited to 20 students. Please only register if you are able to attend. Travel is covered by DIS. Please bring money for food. Questions? Contact DIS @ diversity@ubalt.edu. Co-Sponsored by WoCSA and the BSU.

Breakfast is included – see the schedule below. Please arrive on time. Metro Fees will be paid by participants; please plan to bring $5-6 for the Metro. Also, please plan to bring a snack and/or money to purchase food and drink.

Please find below the schedule for the trip on February 27, 2026 - MARC Tickets will be paid by the office of Diversity and International Services.

8:30 am: Continental Egg and Cheese Breakfast (Lobby of Student Center).
9:00 am Departing Lobby of Student Center to Penn Station OR meet us in the lobby of Penn station by 9:05am.
10:30 am: Arrive at Union Station in DC and take Metro to National Museum of African American History.
11:00 am – 3:30 pm: Self-guided tour at National Museum of African American History and Culture (Museum Cafeteria is open for lunch).
3:30 pm: Meet in the Lobby of NMAAHC / Departing Museum as a group to Union Station.
4:20 pm: Arrive at Union Station and boarding MARC Train to Baltimore.
5:30 pm: Arrive Back to the Penn Station / UBalt.
