A Day in the Capitol: A Tour of Both Chambers of Congress

The Office of Diversity and International Services, the Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association, and the Bob Parsons Veterans Center invite students to join us on an exclusive tour of both chambers of Congress on Friday, April 3, 2026. We will take the MARC train from Pennsylvania Station to Union Station in DC, and then walk to the Capitol.

**All students must have a REAL ID (Driver's License or State Identification with a star) or valid passport for entry.**

Here is the schedule for April 3rd:

9:30am – Check in and registration begins
10:00 am – Departing Student Center lobby to Penn Station.
10:10 am – Boarding Train as a group to DC. (approximately 50 minutes travel time). 
11:10 am - Arrive at Union Station in DC (5 minutes bathroom stop – a 10-minute walk to Capitol for security check in).  
11:45 pm – 2pm - Tour of the House and the Senate (stay together as a group).
2:30pm – Meet at Union Station for Lunch (estimate $15-20 for food) There are several food vendors inside the Union Station.
3:15 pm: Meet at the Lobby of Union Station Gate A / boarding as a group for the sponsored tickets. 
3:40 pm: MARC Train departs for Baltimore 
4:40 pm: Arrive at Penn Station
