Dear PTK Alumni Members,
We are excited to invite you to join us on November 1st as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month with a special trip to the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. This event is an excellent opportunity to explore Native American history and culture through immersive exhibits.
In addition to the museum visit, we are offering a U.S. Capitol Tour at 2:10 p.m. The Capitol tour is limited to 10 students and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so please sign up as soon as possible if you’d like to join. (Sponsored by PTK Alumni)
Here are the event details:
- 8:15 a.m.: Continental breakfast at the Student Center lobby (muffins, fresh fruits, bottled water).
- 8:40 a.m.: Meet at the Lobby of Penn Station (for those skipping breakfast).
- 8:55 a.m.: Board the MARC Train to Washington, D.C.
- 10:05 a.m.: Arrive at Union Station and walk by metro to the National Museum of the American Indian.
- 2:00 p.m.: Lunch and explore on your own.
- 2:10 p.m.: U.S. Capitol Tour for pre-registered students.
- 4:00 p.m.: Meet at Union Station for the return journey to Baltimore.
- 5:10 p.m.: Arrive back at Penn Station.
For those interested in watching Congress in Session, we have 7 limited gallery passes for the House of Representatives and Senate, depending on their session schedules.
To reserve your spot for the trip and the Capitol tour, it's only available to the first 10 students who express interest on that day. Space is limited, so be sure to register early!
