Creating programming "for the ages"
When considering what a Student Organization can do to encourage involvement, engagement, as well as inclusion, programming directed at older students would be a great addition to the schedule, which currently doesn’t necessarily consider the older crowd.
The Poetry and Prose for the Ages event is a great example of how to bring all ages together using a universal language, writing, poetry, prose, memoir, and any other way of expressing yourself creatively, regardless of your generation or age.
As part of this particular event, we’re giving a voice not just in the artistic sense, but a literal voice too, as the artists will talk about their piece, but also take questions from the audience.
Consider, when planning your next even, how can you make communities feel heard that are often pushed, however lightly, into the background? How can you make them feel seen, a part of something larger than all of us, such as art?
Good luck on planning your events for the Fall 2022 semester!

Supplemental Funding Requests Due on Oct. 24!
Spring Funds for Student Organizations!
Could your student organization put $2,500 to good use? Funds are available for Spring 2023! There are some administrative steps to take to access these funds. First, your student organization needs to be fully registered. If registered, your president and treasurer take the Supplemental Funding training and quiz. Finally, your student group needs to submit a budget by Monday, October 24th at 12 noon, Eastern Time (ET). Too many steps for the mid-term crunch? Get your student organization registered and you all will be eligible for $750 of startup funds. If your student group is interested in accessing any of these funds, please contact Eliza Marth at,
eliza.marth@ubalt.edu.
