The Criminal Justice and Forensic Science Society gave members a glimpse into combating clandestine drug manufacturing. Our guest speaker was Joe Bozenko, a DEA research chemist with 24 years of experience in investigating clandestine laboratories and scientific advisor to the DEA's Special Operations Division. He discussed collaborating with DEA agents, ensuring safety, documenting crime scenes, interrogating suspects, collecting and analyzing chemical and digital evidence, and compiling thorough reports. The presentation was informative, engaging and sprinkled with humor. The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, where the students learned about potential employment with DEA. CJFSS remains dedicated to organizing events that open up diverse criminal justice and forensic disciplines to a wide audience.
